After speaking to several different reporters that cover mobile app development, the picture is becoming more clear about the new Rovio Mobile release, Bad Piggies. The initial plot point has the green pigs stranded on a deserted island. Having an unsatiable craving for delicious bird eggs, the pigs set out to create ways to get to those eggs. Incorporating numerous techniques from Rovio’s second offering, Amazing Alex, the pigs must create clear pathways to snatch up the eggs.

If you are to believe what the Angry Birds mobile app is telling you, the green pigs are the consummate bad guys, always out to do no good. They are antagonistic, make a lot of snorting noises and heckle you from their perches. In Bad Piggies, the pigs are working together as a team to build things that propel them to the eggs. Random objects will be strewn about on each level, but there are no Angry Birds to be found. A three-star mechanic causes problems, but other than that the pigs are the good guys, being bouncy, lovable and almost “cute”?

Bad Piggies will finally get their comeupance, after years of abuse at the hands of the evil angry birds. They’ve been bullied, annihilated, picked on, blown to smithereens and punished. The sheer violence and carnage that has been unleashed on the pigs is staggering, when you think about it. Now, the pigs can exact their own measure of revenge by having their own game, free from ridicule and scrutiny. If you thought Angry Birds was starting to run its course, you need to think again. This new version will only continue to feed the feathery monsters for several years to the future.
